Class Nursery to UKG
The academic is divided in to two terms. No formal testing is done for these classes.
Evaluation is based on the day to day performance under the Continuous and Comprehensive Evaluation. The assessment may be done on the basis of written work done in the notebooks or worksheets and also through oral assessment based on discussion and interactions. The other activities are also assessed like visit to Computer Lab, Visit to Library etc. Report Cards are given twice a year in October and March.
Classes I to V
The entire year is divided in to four cycles. Each Cycle comprises of two activities in which four parameters are assessed. In English, Hindi and Sanskrit the four parameters which are assessed are Listening Skills, Reading Skills and Speaking skills.
In Maths, the concept, Drills/Tables, Mental ability and Activity are the four parameters on which the student is assessed.
In EVS, the student is tested on Environmental Sensitivity, Activity, Group Discussion or Quiz and also the concept.
Each cycle culminates with a Long Test which is Pen Paper Test and prepares the student for facing the formal exam pattern.
The student is also exposed to the various Co-Scholastic activities wherein GK, Computer, Art & Craft, Music, Dance and Physical Education helps in development of the students hand and hear aspect. These psychomotor skills, physical development, life skills, attitudes, values interests and participation in the other Co-Scholastic activities are assessed on various rubrics.
For class V:
In order to emphasize the writing skills, following changes have been decided for class V:
Students would be assessed through four assessments only as in practice. But the time duration of the test and syllabus being covered would be more a bit in Assessment III & IV as given below. However, there will be no change in Assessment I & II.
